  • Study a Language of the Middle East!

    Are you interested in the cultures of the Middle East? Are you looking for a new linguistic challenge?

    A Self-Directed Language Acquisition Program started in Spring 2009. Choose to learn Farsi/Persian, modern Hebrew, or Turkish with the help of a language partner and both print and electronic resources. Develop skills that will help you whenever you encounter a new language.

Finals Week Schedule

It’s the end of the semester!  And that means extended hours in the Language Lab.
Because finals are scheduled at 7 p.m. Friday, May 1, and Saturday, May 2, the Language Lab will remain open until these exams start.

The Latin American and Iberian Studies Student Research Symposium begins Wednesday, April 15, with a lecture by Professor David Gies of the University of Virginia. He will speak about Genderama: Performing Womanhood in Nineteenth-Century Spanish Theater. A reception follows the 6:00 p.m. lecture.
