Two excellent resources for learning more about the world are two radio broadcasts from PRI. Both are available on the web and via podcast. PRI’s The World offers “global perspectives for an American audience.” The Changing World, produced by the BBC World Service, offers two in-depth documentaries each week. For example, the featured documentaries this week explore the scientific contributions of Islamic scientists who flourished during the European “Dark Ages.” Listen and gain a new perspective on the history of science.
