FLAVA 2011 Workshop

Listening to the World:
Activities for Language Learners

New:  The virtual handout for this workshop is a Google site.

Join your colleagues for a pre-conference workshop at the University of Richmond‘s new Carole Weinstein International Center, which opened in August 2010.  In the Center’s new Global Studio, you’ll design technology-based student projects that promote active listening and student language production while learning to use tools like Audacity, PhotoStage, VoiceThread, and Glogster.

Date:  Friday, October 7, 2011
Time:  12:30 – 2:30 p.m.

NOTE:  You’ll have plenty of time to get to the FLAVA conference venue, register, and attend the first session at 3 p.m.

Registration:  There is no charge for this workshop, but attendance is limited to 15.  Register by completing this form.   (A waiting list will be kept; you’ll be notified of your status.)  If you have any questions or concerns, please e-mail Sharon Scinicariello (sscinica@richmond.edu).

This link to driving directions and parking instructions will be e-mailed to registrants.  A campus parking map is here.
